Amicus request training grant for redundant staff

The union have requested that AXA provide staff being made redundant with a training grant similar to that successfully provided to Lloyds TSB staff who lost their jobs with the closure of the Newcastle service centre.

The grant would go towards the costs faced by an individual who undertakes specific training or education courses, following redundancy, to help themelves gain fresh employment.
