Unite blast Insurance Times over 'crummy" staff label

Unite have written to the Insurance Times and complained about their recent front page article which branded AXA staff as 'crummy'. Quoting from a report on customer service, Unite feel the alleged quote is unfair and demeaning on a group of hard working staff who had been working under extreme pressure during a time of major reorganisation.

Unite National Office Hugh Jones-Glass said, "It is one thing to label a company or organisation as poor, but to single out our members in such a direct and unsubstantiated manner is not acceptable and we are complaining to the Insurance Times. The sensationalist way they have reported this as front page news, in a manner more reminiscent of the gutter press rather than the professional industry newspaper the Insurance Times purports to be, is not acceptable to us."
