AXA signs Amicus Equality Charter

AXA Group HR And Communications Director Steve Offord today signed Amicus' Equality Charter for Women Workers.

The charter commits AXA to work towards achieveing equality for women workers in the UK, establishing a working group to develop a programme to improve women's pay and opportunities, carry out equal pay audits, develop an action plan based on these audits, communicate with staff and identify areas of best practice within the finance sector.

The pay gap within the finance sector is currently around 41%. Within AXA Insurance and Life, the most recent pay audits identified the gap to be around 30%.
