Union concern at Animal Rights protests

Unite has raised its concerns with AXA regarding staff safety following the increase in demonstrations outside AXA offices by protest group Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty.

Whilst the protests have just been of a generally noisy nature, the fact that staff in certain sites have to walk through protestors to get into their office is of concern.

The protestors have targetted AXA over its investments in Huntingdon Life Sciences and they have protested outside AXA offices in London, Bolton and Manchester as well as Milan and Warsaw.
