Amicus reject AXA pension proposals
The Amicus AXA NCC met yesterday to discuss the company's proposals on the Defined Benefit (Final Salary) Pension Scheme. Whilst the NCC accepted that 2006 Valuation as fair and reasonable and the consequent need for increased contributions to maintain the benefits, it was felt that the company proposals placed too much of the burden of future costs on the employees. Consequently the NCC voted to reject the proposals and we have advised the company accordingly.
Amicus are continuing to negotiate with AXA and have put forward alternative suggestions on this matter.
