AXA Insurance close Newcastle and cut jobs

Unite are naturally disappointed with today's announcement of a headcount reduction across the country in AXA Insurance and the closure of the Newcastle branch.

We have been fully engaged in consultation over AXA's business plans and will continue to work with AXA to minimise any compulsory redundancies by looking at any opportunities for redployment within the UK group.
